play date at the wiley's

sara hosted a play date for her mom's club group and invited us along. the girls had so much fun as usual playing with all the toys, hanging out with friends and of course the park! i don't know what i would do without sara here! thank you sara for everything :-)

meet in the middle

sara's back in town, yeah!!! while they were away we had moved to woodbury which is not quite as close as we were to them before, forty-five minutes. after their two-week vacation in florida (we REALLY missed them!) we met in the middle at a town called shoreview at a park to let the kids play and catch up. by the way, if you didn't get this from the previous blogs, we go to the playground a lot!!!

nEw RidE

along with many other things, i had to leave my double stroller behind because it wouldn't fit in the car, so i broke down and bought a double umbrella stroller today so i could actually go somewhere without worrying about lucy running off, etc. the weather is too nice to pass up going for a walk. so we ventured out around the neighborhood to all the walking trails. it was really nice to get out and not need a jacket! we stayed out for three hours!!! i couldn't get enough. here are some pictures of the girls pimping their new ride :-)

minnesota children's museum

today i met angela and emeline at the minnesota children's museum in st. paul. it was the coolest children's museum that i've ever been to and was so much fun i didn't really want to leave! it was four stories and plenty to do. lucy especially liked the water works area because she could splash in the bubbles and they even had a hand dryer which i had to really drag her away from to leave.

the wEathEr is wArming!

today was a beautiful day, the tempature was mid 60s and sun all day long so we ventured out to the driveway with the sidewalk chalk and then went to our new playground! there's one just steps from our place with walking trails all around that hopefully we'll get lots of use out of with the weather warming up! lucy said she was drawing pictures of goats...she's still hung up on the zoo:-) edy put the chalk straight to her mouth so she didn't get much drawing done.

lucy has accomplished sliding alone and she now likes to go down on her belly. i'm not sure who taught her that!

on THE go!

edy is crawling!!! i don't have any pictures yet, but i'll post some soon. i was actually trying to figure out how to get a video up on this thing :-) last night we moved into our new place in woodbury, mn. it's a 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom 2 car garage townhome with much more space than we had for the last two weeks (in a hotel.) we got all the toys and everything put inside and edy decided she had some space to move around here and she just started crawling! this morning i met up with a friend, angela, and her daughter emeline to go to storytime at the library. we all sat on the floor and edy spotted a piece of paper and took off about 30 mph for it like she was a pro! storytime was pretty fun. the story teller read three books and in between each she passed out shakers and the kids danced, sang and shook their sillies out. after the stories were over they busted out a ton of toys and they all got to play. lucy, my little bookworm, reallllly enjoyed it and edy and i did too!

barrettes!

both of the girls' hair is starting to get wacky...lucy's is getting long and hanging in her eyes and edy's is sticking straight up in a mohak. sooo today i remedied the problem by finding these teeny barrettes in all different colors, so cute! lucy wasn't too crazy about the idea at first. but once she saw edy had one she left hers alone ;-) i thought it was adorable. first look in the mirror!
edy loved it, or at least i think she did. when the camera light comes on she smiles anyway.

bUsy dAy

sitting in a hotel room gets pretty boring and small so today we went to a playground to let some energy out. edy took a snooze while lucy and i went down the slide. "more" she kept saying! we swung, ran up and down the bridges and played in the sand. who says you can't make sand castles in minnesota?

when we got home we decided to finally take lucy to the pool. she has only been talking about it for two weeks now! although, her crazy mother forgot her bathing suit. so edy and i played on the sideline while jd and lucy swam. lucy thought it was so hilarious that he would go under water and bubbles would come up. she thought he was hiding which really tickled her!

and then it was bathtime. i wouldn't have posted a picture with their boobies exposed, but this is the official first picture ever where they are BOTH looking at the camera eyes open and BOTH smiling! now i know what the magic word is...grammie! it worked this time, we'll see what happens next time :-)
