under construction!!!

please be patient as i am learning how to digi scrap!!! i am really excited about learning how to do this. the layout i posted at the top was my first one and i ex-ed out of the page before i could finish and add more photos. it took me a verrry long time to just do that so i had to just leave it until i have the time to fix it ;-)

caladium festival!

we went to the caladium festival this morning in lake placid. lucy and edy let petals the clown paint a flower on their faces. besides it being super hot and lucy jumping out of the stroller onto the concrete to leave her with skinned knees and a goose egg, we had a lot of fun. lucy got to see greer, who she loves, we enjoyed some fresh limeade, lucy got out and danced to a couple songs and we headed home.

we had planned on going out to the hammock today since we had been stuck inside under tropical storm conditions the last couple days, but when we headed out it was still raining a little too much. so we ended up over at the revells to play. so much fun. we went looking for a turtle in the wagon who wasn't home, played ring around the rosie, made a mess in brooker's toy room and pretended to go night night. it's so fun to get together with friends!

some pics from edy's birthday party. we grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and topped it off with a cupcake. thanks to our wonderful family and friends for coming to share this day. the birthday girl had a blast!

jd's dad, stepmom and kids extended their vacation to disney world to come visit us. friday night we had pizza and swam at their hotel. it was so nice to be able to spend time with them. we enjoyed it!

you're never too old to...

granny great came over today to visit and while edy was napping lucy and her pretended to cook a huge meal including blueberry muffins and pizza. after that they finished it off with several pretend pieces of candy. lucy thought grandma was so much fun!

an apple a day...

lucy and edy both had their one and two-year old check-ups this morning with dr. deshpande. my, how they're both grown over the year! i was so proud of lucy today for being so grown up...she got her blood drawn with no tears. now, that's brave! edy, on the other hand, screamed bloody murder and let everyone know about the four shots in her legs and the needle in her arm :-( it was so sad. doc says they're healthy as can be so we had a good report. stats:

kortney came by to celebrate her birthday with a triple chocolate fudge cake that i baked, yummo! happy birthday "tor", hope it's a great year for you!

splish splash

aunt holly invited us to the ymca today for some swimming and splashing. we love going to the splash pad to play in the fountains. thanks for the swim date aunt holly, it was fun!

highlands hammock

the girls and i went to highlands hammock this morning for something to do since we hadn't been in awhile. we played on the playground and then braved the cat walk! for those of you who have been on the cat walk i'm sure think i'm nuts since there is only one rail and only three rickety boards to walk on, but we were on a hunt for wild life and on the lookout for an alligator! no gators, but we did see a bunny rabbit along the way. i had edy on the hip and clenching so tight to lucy's hands we made it out alive!
