Tea party for three, please!

We got the girls a new picnic tea set and it is the hottest thing around! We've been having tea party after tea party. Daddy taught the girls to cheers after pouring the tea and they think it's so cool. I think they want to have the party just for the purpose of clinking the cups together!
cheers!

who's having more fun here? it's hard to tell!

See-Saw

I stepped outside to peek at the girls and this is what I encountered...Lucy teasing Edy because she couldn't quite reach the ground when Lucy had the see-saw down. She would let her go up and just hold her there with a smile on her face, what a turkey!

Just another day at the office...

This Friday the guys from the office decided to have a little gathering. The guys grilled out and played corn hole or bean bag in the warehouse and we rode bikes and ran around. The girls love going to the office because they get spoiled with junk food from the guys, this time it was cookies and mt. dew!

Teddy Bear Picnic

If you were cool enough to be my friend growing up, then you probably remember one of my favorite books that came with a record(!) that had the words to a song of the Teddy Bears' Picnic. Anyhoo, my mom's club had a teddy bear picnic that was sort of similar, but it brought back memories of the book that I dearly loved! Everyone brought their favorite teddy bear, we ate teddy grahams, sang a teddy bear song and most of all, put our bears on a blanket (makeshift parachute) and shook them up in the air! A great playdate for sure.

Greetings from the princess!

This is how Lucy greeted us this evening. She claimed to be a ballerina, although, I'm not so sure how she dances in those heels!

Cutest pony tail ever!

Edy's hair is finally long enough for a pony, hooray! She is such a busy body it took me about 15 minutes to get the thing in! She kept running around the house yelling, "tail, tail, tail!" Isn't she adorable?

Lucy telling Edy how grown up she looks!

Treasure in a Bottle

Today we had a meetup with my moms' group themed "treasure in a bottle." Basically, there was a bucket full of treasures that the kids dug for and filled up their treasure bottles with. It was a cute idea and the girls had a good time playing with the kids.

They were so good I rewarded them (and myself) with a trip to the mall!!! To ride the carousel, of course ;-)

Growin' up

Lucy sporting her new pigtail braids! As a child, this was something that was a huge deal to me, getting braids, it was the coolest! Hooray! She was very pleased with herself when she looked in the mirror!

It's the little things...

I was in the playroom today and noticed this minor detail that amused me. Lucy got a makeshift dish towel and hung it from her sink handle. No detail goes unnoticed around here! They're paying attention to every little thing.
making some crafts...not paying attention to how much glue she is using!

One of those moments...

I walked outside to see what these two were up two and for once they were being so sweet to one another. Just enjoying each other's company listening to the radio in their Jeep and having good conversation. It definitely was camera worthy!
