barrettes!

both of the girls' hair is starting to get wacky...lucy's is getting long and hanging in her eyes and edy's is sticking straight up in a mohak. sooo today i remedied the problem by finding these teeny barrettes in all different colors, so cute! lucy wasn't too crazy about the idea at first. but once she saw edy had one she left hers alone ;-) i thought it was adorable. first look in the mirror!
edy loved it, or at least i think she did. when the camera light comes on she smiles anyway.

bUsy dAy

sitting in a hotel room gets pretty boring and small so today we went to a playground to let some energy out. edy took a snooze while lucy and i went down the slide. "more" she kept saying! we swung, ran up and down the bridges and played in the sand. who says you can't make sand castles in minnesota?

when we got home we decided to finally take lucy to the pool. she has only been talking about it for two weeks now! although, her crazy mother forgot her bathing suit. so edy and i played on the sideline while jd and lucy swam. lucy thought it was so hilarious that he would go under water and bubbles would come up. she thought he was hiding which really tickled her!

and then it was bathtime. i wouldn't have posted a picture with their boobies exposed, but this is the official first picture ever where they are BOTH looking at the camera eyes open and BOTH smiling! now i know what the magic word is...grammie! it worked this time, we'll see what happens next time :-)

i think it's just adorable when the girls get all bundled up in their jackets and hats...we were really just going to run errands, but i had to take pictures!

THE ZOO!!!

we have had a busy week! today me, lucy, edy, sara, ethan, savannah, angela and emeline went to the minnesota zoo in minneapolis. the weather was actually decent today (50 or so and sunny) so we got to see the baby farm animals on display. we saw cows, baby chicks, pigs, roosters, lambs, goats, camels, fish, monkeys, buffalo, ducks, stuff we had no idea what it was and some other species. lucy especially liked the goats because she got to feed them right out of her hand. surprisingly, she wasn't scared at all and they were practically jumping through the fence to get to her food!

eagle's nest

today we went on a play date at eagle's nest, which is like a kid's gym. lucy had so much fun running wild and playing with the kids while i got a chance to chat with some other moms. she mostly was found in the book corner (no surprise) and driving the boat.

pLaY DaTE

today we went to play with ethan and savannah for the day. lucy really enjoyed seeing the snow fall on the way to the car. she was trying her best to catch it :-) these pictures are on our way out. the ones down below are on the way back...what a difference! we are so thankful to have friends here to hang out with. lucy was introduced to playdoh for the first time...mmm...it tastes delicious! edy thinks ethan's busy box is so cool and just loves to play with him.

it snowed today...alot! lucy was fascinated by it at first, but once her hands turned to ice cubes she was in a bad mood quick! these pictures are outside our friends eric and sara's house. all the snow you see is from this one day, so cool. we think this may be the last snow so i'm so happy we got here in time to see it :-)
