Kortney comes to Austin, hooray!! Flat Creek Winery

I was over the moon when Kortney came to Texas to visit.  We jammed a lot of stuff into just one week and it was so much fun.  We needed about another week to do the rest of what we had on our list, but I'll take what I can get!  We started our week at this adorable little winery in Marble Falls out in the hill country, which was so beautiful.  We got there when they opened for lunch and were still there when they closed the doors that evening, with that said, we had a great time catching up and laughing hysterically at Kortney's "hot" soup and other random incidents.  For whatever reason, whenever we get together my stomach aches from laughing so hard and I feel like a silly little kid again. 

I'm a survivor...

our good friend's mom, mary margaret, is a five-year cancer free survivor.  in honor of that her family threw her a surprise party to celebrate being a survivor in waxahachie.  it was such a fun party with great reason to celebrate.

Lucy turns 3!

It's hard to believe that just three short years ago life as I knew it had changed forever when this sweet little face came into the world.  The time has flown by, but every minute has been adventurous and fun as can be.  We went to Sea World to celebrate and then had some friends over for swimming, cake and ice cream.  Happy Birthday LuLu!

we spent the weekend in waxahachie for fourth of july.  friday night we had dinner with todd, jennifer, toben and towne and watched the fireworks from the back of the pickup.  surprisingly, the kids were not amused.
