Houston Aquarium

We had a great time at the aquarium checking out the fish tanks, riding the shark train, riding the ferris wheel (Lucy insisted) petting sting rays and everything else we did. It's such an amazing experience to see things through their eyes, I just love it.

Eric Church Band

JD and I had a date night and went to the Eric Church (mainly Edward!)concert at Stubb's BBQ in Austin. It was a neat place for a concert (and fried green tomatoes) and we had the best seats in the house!

The Oasis

We went to The Oasis for dinner tonight in Austin to watch the sunset over Lake Travis, it was such a beautiful view and such a neat place to go. If I ever get some visitors (I won't mention any names) I'll take you there! http://www.oasis-austin.com/

cooling off in the fountains

My friend Stephanie and I took the kids to the fountains at Market Street to cool off today. It sure is warming up around here. The girls had so much fun standing over the fountains wondering where the water went and then, surprise!, it would get them in the face. Very fun. Now, can you see why I haven't posted in so long? We've been busy around here!

Easter

Lucy and Edy were very delighted to wake up and find that the Easter bunny paid a visit to our house and left way too much candy! After a delicious candy breakfast we went to church service and then the Wylies came over as well as Grandma Grier to have Easter dinner with us followed by an egg hunt. To top it all off the kids got to "dig" in the bunny cake when we were done! It was such a beautiful day and so much fun. God has really blessed us.

The latest...

I'm too lazy right now to sit down and upload the last month's pictures and post them so I thought I would just give you a brief update of what we've been up to. For starters we are moving again to Austin, which is about three hours west of us at the end of the month (there was a hail storm there and it's our turn to go). So that's what I've been doing for the last week is packing and house hunting. JD has been working over there since before Easter so me and the girls have been driving back and forth here and there to visit. I haven't seen a whole lot of it yet, but what I've seen so far I like. There's some gorgeous views and a lot more scenery than Houston. Other highlights are we made a trip to the Houston Zoo, saw Eric Church in concert in Austin...so much FUN! And most exciting of all, I booked my summer vacations! All in the month of June we are moving, flying to Florida, I'm visiting Aydin in Massachusetts, hitting the CMA festival with great friends in Nashville, spending some time in Austin with just the hubby and back to Florida to soak up some sun. Oh, yeah, and my friends Amy and Eric welcomed their first born into the world, Molly Jane, who I've seen pictures of and is oh, so precious! One of these days I'll get around to posting pictures!
