we spent the 4th of july on lake june in lake placid. the girls had fun with all the other kids splashing in the water. it was really nice to spend time with all our friends, bbq and watch the fireworks. i had lucy excited for the preceding couple of days about the 4th of july and the big fireworks we were going to see and how loud they were, etc. she was really looking forward to it...it started storming terribly so we had to pack up the party and take it to samantha and bryan's house. well, on the way lucy fell asleep and missed the whole darn thing! we did light some off at the house and it's amazing she didn't wake up with how loud they were. there's always next year :-)
